Radiation Safety in Industrial Applications
It is essential that the owners of ionizing producing equipment ensure that all operators of x-ray equipment be properly trained in the safe use of radiation. Radiation safety training for operators of x-ray equipment is a requirement in many States. The State of Georgia mandates that all non-registered or non-certified x-ray operators have, at a minimum, 6 hours of radiation safety training prior to the clinical use of x-ray equipment.
X-Ray equipment may also be used in industrial applications. From the airline industry to law enforcement, x-ray units can play a major role in maintaining a secure environment. The industrial x-ray technician’s role in manufacturing is crucial to product integrity and safety. Using radioactive materials, the technician inspects and analyzes materials such as metal or paper or uses imaging technology to verify the integrity of equipment to make certain it meets proper specifications.
Our training programs address all aspects of radiation use and safety in the workplace. We can custom design the programs to accommodate any number of participants. They are designed with flexibility of scheduling and pricing so that limited down time is required to provide training to personnel.
A well trained x-ray operator can be more confident and efficient in the workplace while ensuring that their employer is in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the safe use of radiation.
